England have rested Kevin Pietersen for this series, who is injured, whereas Graeme Swann gets a break as well. However, that does not stop the side from being one of the stronger ones in recent times, as they have Ian Bell backing up and Jonathon Trott and James Tredwell being called up.
As compared to that Bangladesh will start off the series on a controversial note. For some reason, the Bangladeshi selectors have changed the captain; Mashrafe Mortaza comes in place of Shakib al Hasan, and this may create some kind of friction between the two – given that the pair were already not on great terms.
The Bangladeshi batting will be tested to the hilt in conditions which are not some of the best for batting. Especially for the teams from sub-continent. Tamim Iqbal will be the key, but how the others bat will go a long way in deciding whether or not Bangladesh can win at least a game in the series.
